Alone; Don't Pick Up The Phone
Always remember to lock the doors. This is a first for me folks. A few days ago Phil Seneker was gracious enough to share his son Ethan Seneker's short Alone. w/me for review while it's busy cruising it's way through one film festival after another. So today I finally sat myself down to watch the young master's piece at work & I have to say BRAVO to Ethan. Do you remember what it's like being home as a kid say on the weekend doing your own thing while the rest of your family is about in the house doing the same? Remember when one of those nasty spring or summer storms rolled in to darken the whole house & make you feel miles away from the people who are just one room or one level down?
Yeah, well take that sensation of heightened abandonment & increase it ten fold w/a horror movie styling rather reminiscent of one Fewdio Paul aka Paul Hungerford (who would be very proud to see this short) and something very uniquely Ethan's. You'll be keeping the lights on after this little tid bit of nerve wracking delight!
If you happen to be at one of the film festivals Alone. is being screened at then I don't recommend but demand you give this film your time & attention. You won't be disappointed! Not only is the cinematography well done, but the audio & lighting work is excellent & very smooth. Phil, Ethan, Samantha Jenson & everyone else involved should be very proud of the work you have done. I'm eagerly anticipating more from you all as you have a new dedicated fan in me.
So be sure to check Alone. out & until my next post,
Sit back, relax & don't forget to scream!

I agree with you, Alone. is a MUST SEE!!! I can't believe that it was created by someone 14 years of age! It was the best film at the NFFTY film festival in its category.
Also - just a couple correcctions: Ethan's first name is spelled Ethan, not Ethen. The correct title of the film is "Alone." with a period at the end.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it
I'll double check on the names & title from the credits at the end, I had before but it doesn't hurt to do so for a 3rd time & make the corrections.
Thanks again!
And Ethan I apologize for the misspelling.

Does anyone know where I can watch this online? It was screened today and I'm dying to show my friends, it was AMAZING!! I couldn't make that, how could a 14 year old do it???

I posed your question to the family unit that put "Alone." together; Phil Seneker ( @philseneker on twitter) and Samantha Jensen ( @IlFautEtre on twitter) to see if they'll be showing it online. It was a fantastic film & I'm so glad you got to see a screening of it! Thanks for asking & I hope we get an answer for you soon. \m/
